Poonch: A woman health official was among four killed and seven other persons injured in a road accident in mountainous Poonch district of Jammu region late on Monday afternoon.

Reports said that a Tata Sumo (JK02AC-0074) overturned and rolled down into a deep gorge near Gursai Mohre in the district.  Eleven persons boarding it were injured and were rushed to SDH Surankote where four among them including the woman were declared brought dead on arrival, they said.

The five critically injured persons were later referred to district hospital Rajouri for specialized treatment.

The deceased have been identified as Liyaqat Ahmad son of Khadam Hussain of Gursai, Nissar Hussain Shah son of Faid Hussain Shah of Gursai, Khursheed Ahmad son of Mohd Aslam of Gursai and Koushal Kanta wife of Madan Mohan of Draba, Surankote. Koushal, was working in Sub-district hospital Mendhar as LHV.
