SPO shot at by militants in Tral

Pulwama: A Special Police Officer (SPO) was shot at and injured by suspected militants at Pastuna village in Tral area of this south Kashmir district on Tuesday evening.

A police officer said that gunmen fired at SPO Ashiq Hussain Lone son of Samadullah Lone at his residence in Pastuna village of Tral.

Ashiq was shifted in critical condition to hospital. Soon after the incident, a joint team of army and SOG launched a manhunt to nab the attackers, the officer said.
