Kashmir traders protest against attempts to strike down special status of J&K, extend support to JRL call

Srinagar: Kashmir Economic Alliance, traders, and civil society of Kashmir Wednesday marched through city center Lal Chowk, protesting against attempts to revoke the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.

They also supported the shutdown call by the Joint Resistance Leadership, comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik, against the move, on August 5 to 6, 2018

The protest was a joint rally by various trade and industry bodies, who assembled at Bund area and then rallied towards Lal Chowk.

They were holding banners reading ‘Interference with Article- 35 A unacceptable’, “Dismiss The Petition Challenge”.
