SHOPIAN: Militants on Monday night barged into the houses of three  police constables, thrashed and asked them to resign from their job. The incident happened in Shopian villages of South Kashmir. 

Police sourced confirmed the incident.

“During intervening night three constables identified as Jahangir Wagay, Faizan Wagay, and Danish Bhat, all residents of Nadpora Shopian’ house were barged by militants. The trio were thrashed and asked to leave their jobs and were warned to face the consequences if dictated are not followed,” a top police official confirmed.

All the three, according to sources, have been recently promoted from SPO’s to Constables.
