Shopian: Youth who had snatched the Bank Guards rifle yesterday has surrendered it before police in Shopian on Saturday.

The youth had snatched a12 bore gun yesterday of JK bank guard in main town shopian south kashmir.

Police identified the youth as Juniad hamid ganai S/o Ab Hamid Ganai resident of Shamsipora village of shopian involved in the incident and man hunt had been launched by police to trace the youth.

“However Juniad Hamid and his parents himself returns the rifle and handed over to police,” sources in police confided.

Police sources confirmed the incident and said Juniad returned 12 bore rifle and handed over to shopian police.

“He was was accompanied by his parents,” the officials said.
