Health department launches investigation into alleged fake doctor duping North Kashmir, claimed being orthopaedic

Baramulla: Health department has launched an investigation into allegations that a fake doctor has been duping gullible since a year in North Kashmirs Baramulla, Kupwara and bandipora districts claiming he was an orthopaedic expert.

One of the clinics of the doctor under scanner department of health and police sealed one of the clinics at Hyderbagh Pattan.

The quak Tariq Ahmad Teli, 32, is a resident of Chokar Pattan, and was “practising” as orthopaedic doctor. On his prescription he has been claiming to have all the degrees including MBBS from MTR university Vijaywada, Andhra Pradesh, and MS from Rajiv Medical College.

The block medical officer Pattan, according to sources lodged aacomplaint and on which police station Pattan lodged an FIR 156/2018 under sections 420, 336 RPC.RPC.

Tariq, told a reporter over phone that he is not a fake doctor but has all the proofs to prove him right.

“I can show my certificates, neither police nor media has to do anything with it, I will show my certificates to CMO,” he said.
Tariq said that he has not done any internship in SKIIMS and has never claimed so.
“I have done MBBS from Bangalore and MS from Karnataka university,” he claimed.

Rejecting claims that he has not even passed his matriculation exams he said that he  passed 10th in 2004 and 12th in 2006 and completed my MBBS in 2012.
When asked that why is he evading police then and should he not then go public with his claims as people accuse him of cheating them he said: ” I will” and dropped the call.

Chief Medical Officer Baramulla told INS that they came to know about the case through social media but no formal complaint was recieved by them.

“I along wuth all BMO ‘s of Baramulla district arranged a special team to start a investigation in this matter so that we can get all the evidences and nab the culprit if found guilty,” he said.
