Tral: Forces detected an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), weighing 20 kgs, at Hundoora village of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.
Sources told INS that a party of government forces detected the IED on Tral-Satoora road near Hundoora village and later defused it with the help of a bomb disposal squad Awantipora.
“The IED was planted in Hundoora village of Aripal in Tral on Satoora road,” sources said.
A heavy contingent of police and paramilitary forces reached the spot. “A bomb disposal squad was called into diffuse the IED. It was later diffused successfully,” an official said. He said traffic was also stopped for some time and later resumed.
