Hizb decamps with cops 4 rifles in Shopian; circumstance leading to it being probed, says police

Srinagar: Militants of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen on Thursday barged into the guard post of Ex Congress leader, Mohd Shafi Banday and decamped with four service rifles of JK Policemen at Bonabazar Shopian in South Kashmir.
Sources said that whole area has been cordoned off but when this report was filed, no arrest were made.
“(militants) in the evening hours tonight barged inside a guard post at Bona Bazar in District Shopian and managed to flee with four rifles from there. Search operation is underway in the nearby areas. The circumstances leading to the incident is being ascertained,” a police spokesman said.
“Initial probe suggests complicity of proscribed terror outfit HM in the incident. Police has initiated investigations into the matter,” the spokesman added.
