Tral : A cloudburst hit Nagnad Yangwani village of Aripal in south Kashmir’s Tral sub district, triggering flash flood in the area on Wednesday night.
Locals said that following rains during night, cloudburst hit Nagnad area, triggering floods which damaged the public property including a residential house, crops and roads.
“Water entered into most of the residential houses. It was a sleepless night,” they said.
However, locals complained that none of the officials from tehsil or sub-district administration came to inpect and take stock of the situation.
Later in the day, after media brought the issue into notice of administration,  Additional deputy commissioner Tral, Riyaz Ahmad Malik, Naib tehsildar Aripal  was ordered to visit the area and report back.
