Democratic Pakistan in interest of India: Mehbooba Mufti

Expressing hope that election on Wednesday in Pakistan would lead to a stable government, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti said that a stable and democratic Pakistan was in the best interests of India.

Taking to micro-blogging site twitter Mehbooba wrote:“Hoping today’s election in Pakistan leads to a stable government as a democratic Pakistan is in the best interests of its neighborhood especially India #PakistanElections2018.”

Voting is underway in Pakistan to elect a new government at 85000 polling stations for 272 seats.
