Srinagar: A three-day funfair festival for students and an open day for parents conducted at Green Valley Educational Institute (GVEI), Ellahi Bagh concluded Thursday. The festival titled “Open day and summer fair” was organised by GVEI’s Pre-primary department.
The school children were engaged in a number of playful activities during the fair.
A special assembly organised by the department was also witnessed by the parents.
Parents visited the air-conditioned classrooms of their wards to have a first-hand experience of the academic surroundings of the institute.
The parents were satisfied with the colourful designs of classrooms and thanked the GVEI Chairman Mohammad Yousuf Wani for incorporating innovative methods to teach little children.
“We are very happy and pleased by the academic environment of the school. This is a perfect school for the overall growth of our wards,” said the visiting parents.
GVEI Chairman thanked the parents for visiting the school and providing valuable feedback to the school.
“We are implementing the syllabus of ‘Nature Nurture’ curriculum where children are taught through a number of playful activities. We have always made it a point to provide the best academic atmosphere to our children,” Wani said.
‘Nature Nurture’, a Delhi-based Educational Management company, Head Implementation Ms Dhwani Singh was also present during the event.
She appreciated the quality teaching environment of GVEI and congratulated the PPD staff for holding such a good event.
Students of +2 wing had erected stalls where they offered a wide variety of food items to the guests. Some of the main attractions for the customers were sweets, biryani, momos, pani puri and ice creams, particularly the matka kulfi.
“Quality is good, rates are reasonable, it’s nice,” a customer summarised her views about the food.
A teacher said that the atmosphere is good and refreshing, the students are also very hospitable.
Games like musical chairs and lucky draw were included for children. Stalls selling little stationery items and balloons were also set up.
The volunteers from other sections gave the organisers a helping hand, while hygiene of the eatables was also taken care of.
President Private Schools’ Association Jammu and Kashmir GN Var and dignitaries from other educational institutes were also present during the event.
