Infuse new vibrancy in functioning of PHE: Advisor Ganie to officers

SRINAGAR, JULY 06: The Advisor to Governor, Khurshid Ahmed Ganai, today stressed on infusing new vibrancy in the functioning of Public Health Engineering (PHE) and Irrigation and Flood Control departments.

The Advisor stated this while chairing a meeting here to review the flood protection measures being undertaken by the various departments and executing agencies.

While emphasizing on improving the functioning of PHE and I&FC, Ganai asked Secretary PHE, I&FC to convene a meeting of State Level Flood Committee to explore ways and measures needed to be taken for flood protection and effectively responding to any eventuality.

The Advisor also asked the Secretary Tourism and MD JKPCC to prepare and submit a detailed report about the works that are being executed at Pakharpora shrine.

Meanwhile, Secretary School Education and Director School Education called on the Advisor today and discussed several issues regarding the educational scenario in the state.

The Advisor asked the officers to improve the quality of teaching to ensure academic excellence.
