Empowered Committee clears 117 cases for regular engagement

Srinagar: On the directions of Governor N.N. Vohra, the Empowered Committee headed by Navin Kumar Choudhary, Principal Secretary Finance, in its meeting held today, cleared 117 out of 119 cases for regular engagement of casual /seasonal/need-based and other workers. Two cases were rejected for want of the required documentation. The next meeting of the Empowered Committee will be held on 18th July, 2018.

It may be recalled that Governor N.N. Vohra has issued directions that the Empowered Committee should meet regularly to clear, even piece-meal, all the pending cases for the regular engagement of casual /seasonal/need-based and other workers under SRO-520.
