Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (M) on Monday strongly denounced the authorities for not handing over the mortal remains of Mudasir Ahmed Bhat of old Barzulla to his family who was “martyred” in an alleged encounter with army at Kupwara.
“Denying the return of the mortal remains of a martyr to his family is not only condemnable but inhuman,” said the amalgam headed by Mirwiaz Umar Farooq in a statement issued here.
The Hurriyat Conference (M) also has strongly condemned the use of indiscriminate force on people of Valley particularly of South Kashmir. The amalgam termed it as an open aggression and worst form of State terrorism. The Hurriyat said that it is because of the unbridled powers are given to the government forces and the lack of accountability that every day innocent civilians are brutally killed and wounded besides properties are vandalized.
The it said that brutal use of force and unleashing the reign of terror by killing innocents, blinding and maiming youth, vandalizing properties of people, torching orchards and harassing the elderly lot has become a become a routine affair in Kashmir and the government forces continue to kill Kashmiris at their will and wish.
