5 killed in road accident in Gurez

Bandipora: Five passengers were killed and three others injured when a Tata Sumo in which they were traveling in turned turtle in Gurez areas of Bandipora district of north Kashmir on Sunday.
Officials said that the Sumo (JK01F-9547) was on its way to Gurez from Kangan when it met with the accident at Tragbal area of Gurez.
Five passengers died on the spot while as three others suffered injuries and were shifted to nearby hospital for treatment where the condition of one of them is stated to be critical, thye said.
“A case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigations were taken up,” the officer said.
