Thousands of mourners from different parts of northern belt of Kashmir turned up for the funeral prayers of slain militant Sajad Ahmad shah in chougal handwara.
Sajad Ahmad was killed in thumna pulwama of South Kashmir belt.
Thousands of mourners had assembled in the native village of slain militant.
As the body of slain militant reached his native village, different age group of  men women and children were among the mourners.
Thousands of people took part in the funeral processions of slain Sajad Ahmad Shah.
Sajad is survived by his, wife, son, old parents, six sisters, among them four are married and a brother, who is mentally retarded.
Sajad  is survived by only 11 months old baby boy and 23 years old wife.
Sajad’s father is a retired government employee, Sajad was the only bread earner ever since his fathers retirement.
Sajad was shopkeeper by profession before  he joined militant ranks, he was part of Lashkar-E-Toiba outfit.
Sajad was tortured and held by police many of the times before joining any outfit, a relative Irshad Ahmad told.
Mohammad syed elder brother is mentally retarded person, he looses consciousness any time, he added.
I still remember once a top police official caught hold of sajad’s beard, such incidents forced him to pick up arms, Irshad added.
Adding that, if Sajad had picked up arms, why were the family members and relatives arrested and humiliated time to time.
Among intense pro-feedom sloganeering  sajad was laid to rest in his native graveyard in chougal handwara this afternoon.
Besides this a complete shutdown  was observed in this frontier district kupwara.
However no untoward movement was reported from the area, traffic was off the roads.
