Srinagar: Militants in the morning hours on Friday attacked an army patrol near Good Will Public School in Ahagam area of Keegam village in District Shopian, police said in a statement.

“Terrorists lobbed a grenade on a group of army personnel when they were busy opening the Good will public School today morning followed by the firing on army personnel,” the police statement said.

“In this incident three army personnel sustained injuries who were subsequently evacuated to the hospital for the medical attention,” police said.

“Army personnel exercised maximum restrain to avoid any damage to civil population and students around,” police claimed in the statement.
