Srinagar: Authorities on Friday suspended the annual Amarnath Yatra due to heavy rain and slippery track through Baltal route in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District.
An official said no pilgrim was allowed to the cave shrine on Friday due to heavy raining, rendering the 16-km Baltal route slippery and “dangerous”. The Yatra began yesterday.
