Salary issue of SSA teachers under active consideration: Govt

SRINAGAR, JUNE 27: The Government today said the salary related issues of SSA teachers are under active consideration.

This information was given at a meeting convened here today by the Advisor to the Governor, B B Vyas to review the liquidity position and fund requirement of various departments.

Principal Secretary, Finance, Navin KChoudhary and other senior officers of the Finance Department were present at the meeting.

The meeting was informed that the Finance Department has already released Rs140 crore for disbursement of salary to SSA teachers, and the entire gamut of the salary related issues of such teachers are under active consideration of the Government.

In other decisions taken at the meeting included, release of Rs100 crore for PMGSY roads, Rs8crore to the Prison Department, Rs10 crore to the Home Department for uniform of police personnel besides various other smaller releases in favor of other departments.

The Principal Secretary Finance informed the meeting that adequate resources were available for the ongoing developmental works in the State
