Anantnag: Two militants, one cop and a civilian has been killed in an ongoing encounter between holed up militants and government forces in Anantnag village.

DGP SP Vaid in his tweet confirmed killing of two militants and said that among them one is ‘reportedly ‘ affiliates to Islamic State Jammu Kashmir.

He also said that one policeman has been killed in the Gunfight.

A civilian also lost life after receiving bullet injury.

Mean while government forces have launched search operation in the nearby villages of Srigufwara, where gun battle has been raging since Friday morning, to nab any escaping militant.

family members of a Srinagar youth who is believed to be among the trapped militants namely Dawood aka burhan musaib has approached police to uandover body of their son if he is among dead.
