Sopore : Ahead of Eidul Fitr, many consumers in  towns of  Northen region of Kashmir were left fuming at automated teller machines (ATMs) which all have just one message for them: “insufficient funds”. People thronged ATMs to withdraw cash ahead of Eidul Fitr to pay for Eid related shopping and other expenses.
People from different villages including main towns of Sopore,Kunzer,Tangmergy and Baramulla complained of cash crunch, they said that there is literally no cash from  last two days at many ATMs across twin towns. Added that long queues are seen at the banks as people are rushing to withdraw cash.
“There is  NO cash in JKB Kunzer, People are suffering badly,” a customer complained.
An official at the bank confided that no cash facility has been provided to them as of now and bank itself is suffering of cash crunch.
Reports of empty ATM’s has been pouring in from south Kashmir as well.
