Shopian: Panic gripped residence of Deputy commissioner Shopian’s residence on Monday after reports that a grenade was hurled on it which did not explode.

Government forces rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area ‘to sensitize it of explosives’ and Bomb Disposal Squad was called in to diffuse the grenade.

Officials later claimed that upon investigation it was found that it was a ‘toy grenade’ which was lobbed at the DC’s residence.
