Ganderbal: The education department on Friday  suspended a school teacher in Dardwooder Mammar in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District after students and parents protests block Sgr-Leh highway at Mammar Kangan  against beating of a class 5th girl student at Government Middle school Dardwooder Mammar.

The teacher namely Ajaz Ahmad war had allegedly beaten a 5th class girl student and injured her arm.

When contacted Chief Education officer Ganderbal Sheikh Gayas-ud-din said the teacher has already been suspended by zonal educational officer Hariganwan soon after the incident.
