Weapon snatching bid foiled at DC office Kulgam

Kulgam: Suspected Militants on thursday tried to snatch service rifles of CRPF man at a post of 18 BN of CRPF  guarding the DC Office in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district however their attempt was foiled by alert Policeman.

The incident happened at the gate of DCs Office in Kulgam town.

Sources told INS that the troops immediately laid cordon around the DC office and recovered the weapon within the premises of the DC office.

Police officials confirmed that the weapon has been recovered, however the attacker has managed to escape.

Soon after the incident forces cordoned off the area and started searches for the militants who escaped from the spot.
