Officer among 3 soldiers injured in Shopian IED blast

Shopian: An officer was among three soldiers injured in IED blast, triggered by militants near water pump in Sugan area of Shopian district in south Kashmir early on Wednesday.
Officials said Caspher vehicle of army’s 44 Rashtriya Rifles was targeted when it reached near water pump. An officer was among three soldiers injured, they said. The army retaliated the firing which created panic in area, local sources said.
All injured soldiers were shifted to hospital where they are said to be stable. Soon after the attack, army rushed reinforcements to the area and cordoned it off entirely, they added. When this report was filed, no arrests were made.
