Kulgam:- Police on Friday foiled rifle snatching bid when two suspected militants tried to approach towards Station Grid Wanpoh area of Kulgam district.

However, the alert sentry fired some gunshots in the air forcing militants to escape from the spot.

SSP Kulgam Harmeet Singh confirmed the incident and told to media that alert sentry fired some gunshots in the air after Militants had come with the intention to snatch rifle. Meanwhile, the whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
