Kulgam May 25: The Residents of Nehama Area in South Kashmir’s Kulgam District staged a massive demonstration outside the Camp of 34 RR on Friday, demanding removal of the army camp after they went berserk damaging property in the area.

Eyewitnesses told to media that people in large numbers are demanding the removal of the Nehama Camp.

People alleged that immediately after a ‘mysterious sound’ the army went on a rampage and damaged property worth lakhs.

“They thrashed people and broke everything that met their eye,” a Nehama local told to media.

The Locals also alleged that there was no grenade blast, it was some huge sound. “we saw nobody running, we were here all the time,” a local said.

Jammu Kashmir Police officials have reached the spot trying to pacify the protesters, however the protesters have blocked all the ways to the Nehama camp.
