Srinagar: Police has ordered probe into Hotel Grand Mamta incident, name of Major Leetul Gogoi has surfaced in the incident, who was accompanying a girl.

“IGP Kashmir orders probe. SP North Zone Srinagar to probe the Hotel Grand Mamta incident,” police said.

According to police they were called after an altercation broke out at the hotel and upon identification a  two person including a girl from budgam had come to meet an Army officer. However police did not disclose the identity of the Army officer  but said that he has been handed over to his unit.

According to Hotel manager a customer with the name Leetul Gogoi had booked the room and when he came he was accompanying the girl.

Even though police has not confirmed or rejected that it was major Gogoi, who had hit the headlines after he tied a civilian to an Army Jeep bonet.
