Border flare up: Ind,Pak troops shell each other with mortars, two injured

Jammu: The continuously exchange of heavy gunfire between Indian and Pakistani troops along the international border in Jammu has left two more civilian dead and two others have been injured in Kathua’s Hiranagar sector on Wednesday morning.

While the dead belong to Hiranagar sector, identity is yet to be revealed, and RS Pura sector, the injured in Arnia sector was identified as 36-year-old Ravi Kumar, who is a resident of a nearby village.

“1 civilian died due rob CFVs from Pakistan in village samkha Of R S Pura jammu,”official sources said.

Some of the injured were identified as Bachan Lal R/o Samka, R.S. Pura, Ravi Kumar, R/o W.No. 3 Rania injured.

Cross shelling continued intermittingly throughout the Tuesday night at Samba’s Ramgarh, and Jam

Another person was injured during the overnight firing in the Arnia sector, media reports said.
Reports quoting officials said that 100 border villages and 40 BSF outposts in Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts are under direct attack by Pakistani forces as they continued the shelling for the ninth day today,.prompting a strong and effective retaliation by the BSF.
