Srinagar: Pakistan Ruet-i-Hilal Committee on Wednesday said Ramadhan moon was sighted and that the first day of the holy month of fasting will fall on Thursday, May 17.
“The announcement was made by the Chairman of Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee Pakistan, Mufti Munibur Rehman, in a press conference held after the conclusion of an official meeting of the committee,” TV reports said
The Chairman Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee said that witnesses regarding the moon sighting were received from across the country. “The Holy month of Ramadhan would begin from May 17.”
