Green Valley Education Inst joins Swach Bharat Abhiyan, join hands with SMC

Srinagar: Green Valley Education Institute Tuesday joined bandwagon of ‘Swacht Bharat Abhiyan’ and to began with organised an intra school painting competition here.

According to spokesperson of the institute painting competition was an ‘an endeavor to promote Swach Bharat Abhiyan “GEMINI GROUP” IEC Partners to Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC)’.

The competition was titled “THE 3R’s- Reduce, Recycle, Reuse”. The event was inaugurated by the Hilal Ahmad Deewni, Secretary SMC, Mudasir Hussain Banday, Chief Sanitation Officer SMC and Mohammad Yousuf Wani, and the Chairman GVEI.

“Nearly 100 students participated and displayed their artistic skills in the competition which was conducted in 3 categories- U-12, U-15 & U-19,” the statement issued read.

It also read that the competition was judged by ‘an eminent artist Mr. Naushaad Gayoor’ who ‘appreciated the skills of the young children and praised the participants for the excellent depiction of their ideas on the theme.’

In different categories following students made to top of competition:U-12,  Najeeba, and Khilat Nawaz: U-15, Fazeelat Zehra, Hadiya:  U-19:  Misbah Mehraj, Faheem Fatima
