Sopore : A 30 year old woman died in an ambulance after she was reffered to Srinagar medical Institute from Sopore Hospital on Friday.
The family of a 30 year old woman Firdousa Banu wife of Mohammad Rafi resident of Drusso area Rafiabad told INS  that she died  hour after delivering a baby.
According to family ‘doctors at Sopore Hospital ignored her condition before  delivery (she was bleeding profusely and suffered  other complications also) however after two hours in pain at Sopore Hospital  doctors shifted her to Srinagar medical Institute’.
“She breathed her last in Ambulance,” Family said.
Iqbal Ahmad a relative of deceased woman further said that she was admitted on 10 May, however due to ‘non availability of Dr Rakshanda she was put in waiting list till today morning’.
“Firdousa was then admitted today morning after the concerned doctor was on duty. She delivered baby without proper care. Hours after she delivered baby the staff on duty  noticed her condition turning worse ordering to shift  her to Srinagar medical Institute,” Iqbal said.
The family alleged that ‘doctors are responsible for her death as she was brought to hospital on time but they did not take proper care of patient’
Meanwhile family and relatives demanded that there should be an inquiry in this case  and  guilty should be  punished.
Branch Medical Officer Sopore Dr Sami denied family allegations and said that the patient was treated with proper care with the result she delivered a baby.
Dr Sami added that after B. T complication she was referred Sgr.
“The family admitted her at Noora Hospital where authorities tried hard to resuscitate her but she died,” Dr Sami claimed.
