Students of IUST, CUK protest against civilian killings

Srinagar: Students of Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora and Central University of Kashmir (CUK) Wednesday staged a protest demonstration against civilian killings.

Eyewitnesses said that the protesting students of various departments of IUST campus assembled near the main entrance.

The protesting raised pro-freedom and anti-India slogans and demanded immediate end to the civilian killings in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, the students of Central University of Kashmir (CUK) also staged a protest demonstration against the civilian killings.

CUK Nowgam Campus reverberated with  pro-freedom and anti-India slogans, eye witnesses said.

Twelve people including seven civilians and five militants were killed in two separate gunfights in district Srinagar and south Kashmir since last one week in Kashmir.
