Shopian: Two youth have been injured with bullet wounds near encounter site at Terkiwangam as people mainly youth clashed with government forces in a bid to help militants escape, sources said.
A gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday afrenoon.
Official sources said that a joint team of army, CRPF and SOG laid a siege around Terkiwangam village on Saturday afternoon. Soon after youth took to streets and clashed with government forces.
