“Our families are suffering and concerned authorities are forcing us to hit the roads, that too on what should have been given to us on time,” they said.

Protesting teachers argued that if government threatens employees with ‘no work no pay’ slogan but ‘is government ready to be serious about it’.

“First we work and there is no pay so governments tall claims of No work no pay are hollow. Second if employees begin accepting it, for example we teachers, then we should go to school after six months. As they pay us after six months so no pay no work,” they rued.

“Government will claim again that they promise this and that for employees, all lies. When a teacher is without a salary think of other departments,” they said.

They also said that government in earnest should release their salaries and not push teachers to come on roads to protest.

“That time they wont be able to pull us back to classrooms on mere hollow promises,”  Mushtaq said.
