Clashes after CASO in Hajin Bandipora

Bandipora: Clashes erupted between the Govt forces and people in Shahgund area of Hajin town in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district after forces Launched Cordon and search operation here on Tuesday.

Reports said that Army’s 13RR Unit, Police and CRPF this afternoon Launched Cordon and Search operation in Rahimgund Mohalla of Shahgund area on a Specific tip-off about the presence of two militants in the area.

Reports said that as soon as forces cordoned off the area youth took to the streets and pelt stones on them, to disrupt the operation, triggering clashes. Forces in reply burst teargas shells and resorted to disperse the demonstrators.

Clashes were going on in the area when this report was filed.
