A governmen school teacher in Kreeri belt of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district was arrested by police for allegedly raping
andimpregnating an eleventh standard female student.
A top police official from Baramulla said that the accused was arrested on 15th Arpil 2018, after a complaint by Pattan hospital authorities about the crime.
Police said that the accused teacher was arrested for allegedly raping and then illegally attempting to terminate the pregnancy.
Reportedly the teacher took the student to the hospital for abortion, after which the hospital authorities called the police.
“FIR has been registered. Accused is behind bars and is on remand by competent Court. Charge sheet will be produced before Court in due course of time,” the top police official said.
A case under FIR No.22/2018 U/S 376,315/RPC has been registered in this case.
