SRINAGAR, AUG 4 :- A convoy of Indian police vehicles patrol on the sixth consecutive day of a curfew in Srinagar August 4, 2010. Kashmiri separatist leaders have appealed for calm in the biggest anti-India protests in two years that have killed dozens of people and raised fears that anger at New Delhi was spinning out of control. Clashes have erupted in the  Kumdalan area of South Kashmir’s Shopian District on Monday.

Sources told that the Cavalcade of SP of Jammu Kashmir Police for Shopian District was attacked by Stone throwers.

After which the Police had to fire some aerial shots to disperse the protesting youth, Sources told

Meanwhile there have lot of rumours on Social Networking that Encounter has erupted in the area.

“The Reports are totally baseless, No Encounter has erupted anywhere in Shopian today,” a Police official from Shopian told INS.
