Mobile internet suspended in Anantnag, Kulgam

Srinagar: Internet services were snapped on Sunday in Ganderbal following the death of a youth from Kangan area of the central Kashmir district. The 22-year-old youth Amir Hameed Lone son of Abdul Hameed Lone succumbed to his wounds at SK Institute of Medical Sciences here early on Sunday.
The youth had suffered critical injuries on 3 April when government forces opened fire at Kangan during clashes during clashes in Kangan after 22-year-old youth Gowhar Ahmad Rather, who succumbed on April 3 to injuries sustained in “police action” by him at Kangan on April 2, a day after 13 militants, 3 civilians and as many army men were killed in Shopian.
Soon after news of Gowhar’s death spread, tens of hundreds of people took to streets in Kangan and shouted pro-freedom and anti-government and anti-police slogans. The police fired on the protesters leading to grave injuries to Amir Hameed Lone from Chatragul Kangan.
