Srinagar: New Delhi doesn’t want to resolve Kashmir but to prolong its resolution by using its military might on the peace loving people of Kashmir, Hurriyat Conference led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said on Saturday.
The amalgam said that the government through its forces was leaving no stone unturned by adopting all the undemocratic means to break the resolve of people of Kashmir.
In a statement issued here, the amalgam paid rich tributes to Musavir Hassan Wani son of Ghulam Hassan Wani, a resident of Dalipora, Pulwama who was killed in an encounter with government forces at Kangan.
The amalgam said that New Delhi’s iron fist and repressive policy was the main reason for the youth to opt armed struggle as a means of resistance. The Hurriyat Conference said that the way forces are unleashing a “reign of terror” across Kashmir by killing, maiming and injuring youth, “it seems that Delhi doesn’t want to resolve Kashmir but to prolong its resolution by using its military might on the peace loving people of Kashmir.”
The Hurriyat Conference strongly condemned use of brute force on peaceful protesters at Dalipora , Pulwama and arrest of dozens of people at Palhallan Pattan, stating that the government through its forces are leaving no stone unturned by adopting all the undemocratic means to break the resolve of people which is highly condemnable.
The Hurriyat Conference also strongly denounced the government’s decision of continuously caging chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq at his residence once again, “disallowing him from carrying out his social, religious and political duties.”
It said the move was not just political vendetta but a plan to keep Mirwaiz away from people to create a distance between him and the masses.
