Sopore: A local militant along with an Over Ground Worker were arrested at Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday.
Reports said that a local militant from Awantipora was held along with an OGW by joint team of Army’s 52 RR,SOG Sopore at Chick Hygam area of Sopore. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from them, they said.
Sources in army identified the arrested militant as Parvaz Ahmed from Awantipora and Aamir Ahmed (OGW) from Tral. However, despite repeated attempts, police officials could not be contacted for comments.
