On the directions of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, District Magistrate Ganderbal, Dr. Piyush Singla today, under section 144 of Criminal Procedure Code (Cr.PC) imposed the complete ban on unauthorized sale of combat dresses and uniforms of Indian security forces in order to avoid misuse of army uniforms in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District.

The order issuing the ban instructed that all authorized private firms and shops procuring, storing and selling combat clothes shall immediately inform in writing to the nearest police station regarding their authority to carry on with this business within a period of fifteen days, failing which action under law/rules will be initiated against them.
