Timber smugglera attack Forest dept official

Kupwara: A forest official was  injured in the attack by timber smugglers in Bumhama jungle falling under Kamaraj Forest Division range Kupwara on Tuesday.

The smugglers took advantage of thick forests and escaped from the spot.

They were carrying sharp-edged weapons. The injured official was identified as Ghulam Rasool Mir.

According to injured official he was alone when he was attacked by smugglers.

The smugglers were identified as Shabir Dar and Maqbool Dar residents of Bumhama Kupwara.
