Kupwara: One policeman of Special Operation Group (SOG) has been injured in an ongoing gunfight between militants and government forces  at Check Fatehkhan, Halmatpora area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Officials identified the injured as Javid Ahmad who recieved bullet wounds in his leg.

The army had on Tuesday claimed to have killed  four militants while Director General of Police DGP  confirmed the killing of only three militants so far in the encounter.

The army has also rushed Para commandos to the area yesterday evenin
