Urban Local Bodies employees protest: demand regularisation, transfer of Director

Srinagar: Employees of the Urban local bodies of Kashmir on Thursday protested here seeking regularization and transfer of Director of Urban Bodies

“We are working in the corporation for the last 14 years on meagre wages. We have been requesting for regularization but the government has not paid any heed so far”, said a protestor.

They demanded transfer of the concerned Director and be regularised under the SRO 520.

We even approached the chief minister, but there were no initiatives taken by the government till now, he added.

The employees also said that if their genuine are not addressed soon they will hit the streets again to protest against the government.
