Police rescues UP man swept by avalanche at Sonamarg

Srinagar: Police on Thursday rescued an employee of APCO Construction company.pvt Ltd who was swept under minor avalanche at Shitkari area of Sonamarg in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
“An employee of APCO Construction company.pvt Ltd namely Dharam Prakash Singh son of Narender Bahadur resident of Premgadh Danigunj Uttar Pradesh (A/P Electrician of APCO Tunnel construction) got trapped,” a police spokesman said.
As soon Ganderbal police received the information, a special team was constituted comprising of police parties from Police Station Sonamarg, Police Station Gund and Police Post Gagangeer immediately to rescue the trapped person. “The team rescued and evacuated him to safety.”
