Man killed near Nowgam train tracks wearing headphones

Srinagar: A 27-year-old man, wearing headphones and listening to something, during morning walk near the railroad tracks in Nowgam in outskirts of Srinagar died on Saturday morning, when he was struck by a train. The man has been identified as Nadeem Manzoor son of Manzoor Ahmad Sagar of Kanipora in central Kashmir’s Budgam district. A railway official told INS that the incident took place at 7:10 am and people have been time and again warned through signboards and pamphlets not to venture into the restriction zones which is 10 metres on either side of the railway track.
