Srinagar: The authorities have ordered closure of all schools and colleges in Kashmir Valley on Monday. sources in education department said that all the examinations scheduled for Monday have also been postponed and fresh dates will be announced later. The announcement comes on a day when schools up to 8th standard were scheduled to open after winter break. Class work of high and higher secondary schools resumed last week. The government decision followed killing of four civilians in Shopian and call for Valley-wide shutdown against the “mayhem” by joint resistance leadership.
