In a statement issued here, the JRL comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik urged people across the state to observe a  complete strike on Wednesday.

They said that there are clear cut directions by a division bench of the high court that the duo hall not be shifted to outside jails. “In utter disregard to the directions of the court and to merely please the rulers of New Delhi, the authorities in J&K shifted both of them to outside jails during the dead of the night,” they said. While Qasim Facktoo is languishing in jail since more than 25 years, Shaereti has been behind the prison from last 15 years. The JRL also condemned the inhumane treatment with other inmates and urged people to observe the strike on March 7.
