Srinagar: The Sringar-Jammu highway has been closed for vehicular movement on Friday morning after incessant rains caused landslides and shooting stones at several places over the 300 km road.

Vehicles from Jammu were to ply towards Srinagar, but after landslides between Ramban and Ramsu traffic has been stopped.

Border Roads Organisation (BRO), have been pressed into service to clear the landslides.

Kashmir bound vehicles, including those carrying passengers and trucks loaded with essentials, have been stopped at Nagrota, Udhampur and Jammu.
